Wall Street Journal and crop-dusting

Dusty Dowd sounds just like the guy I learned to fly from back in the 50's. He was a WWII instructor and wanted precision! Watching Ag pilots, I think Dusty is right, maybe just a bit abrasive, but then so was my instructor.
My feeling was, 'if I can satisfy this guy, I'll be a better pilot'. He was no unknown - he and my Dad grew up together and were best friends.

Thanks Matt, good post........and close to home.

Out near Syracuse, huh? A friend of mine was originally from there - I haven't seen her in nearly 10 years, though. I used to work with her and her husband here in the KC area.
