Was a private pilot with instrument rating. 3rd class medical from 6/18.

I'm familiar with the area; there are some decent hills (and hilltop towers) to hit if you can't see them. Sounds eerily familiar, if that's what happened.

I work about 12 miles from the crash site. We had low ceilings and icing pretty much to the surface that day. My students had a long discussion about ADM the next day.
