The US Southwest Soaring Museum in Moriarty, NM, will hold an Open House
on June 9, 2007, to celebrate its first anniversary of operation. The
Vintage Sailplane Association (VSA) and Experimental Sailplane
Association (ESA) will be meeting at Moriarty June 7-10 and there will
be a model sailplane event on June 9.

Museum admission is free, although donations are always welcome! A
buffet dinner will be served in the Museum on Saturday and an after
dinner talk by Dennis Piszkiewicz will feature Hanna Reitsch, famed
German glider pilot and test pilot of gliders, helicopters, piston, jet,
and rocket airplanes. John Ashford, Technical Director of the Australian
Glider Design Council, will be our speaker at the Friday evening ESA
Technical Workshop meeting on June 8, 2007. Contact Kathy Taylor,
505-667-7097 (day), 505-672-0152 (evening), kathytaylor1000@msn.com,
for additional information.

dang i wish I could make it. The SW Soaring museum has a lot of cool gliders, including a Cherokee II like mine, IIRC. I tried to get a copy of the plans from them but its pretty expensive to copy full size blueprints of wing ribs etc.
