Trig TT31- ADS-B antenna question

Thinking about going with the Trig TT31 ADS-B transponder and have a question. I currently have a Garmin GNS 430W unit installed. The TT31 transponder can slide into my existing King KT76A tray but will I have to install an additional GPS antenna or can the TT31 piggyback off of my existing Garmin WAAS antenna?

The manual states "GPS source" and that it will interface with the 430. Since there is no accessory GPS antenna available for the Trig, I'd assume it uses the one for the 430 but Trig would have the official answer.
 
You'll connect the 430W via serial RS232 to the Trigg. Only one wire is needed for this.
 
Two wires, actually. One 232 out and a 232 return. Easier than a 335/345 install, especially if it’s replacing a KT76.
