With the weather being unbelievably friendly to pilots this week, I've been doing a fair amount of flying. Today was a trip to the Cincinnati area, to Cleremont County Airport, I69, home to Sporty's and the Tri-State Warbird Museum.
This is a new museum and it has a great small collection of WWII military aircraft:
P51D Mustang
TBM-3 Avenger
AT-6D Texan
B-25J Mitchell Bomber
PT-17 Stearman
FG-1D Corsair under restoration
P40 due fall of 07
All aircraft are airworthy and fly regularly at local air shows and up to Oshkosh.
If you are in the Ohio, Kentucky, Inidana area, consider it a two for one trip, Sporty's and the War Bird Museum.
