RIP Indeed! I saw Michael in about a dozen off-off-Broadway shows back in the early 1980s and he impressed me as a tremendous talent. Then he hit the Dunkin Donuts jackpot. Good for him, and I too will miss him.

I can't count how many times I've risen at some ungodly early hour with that "time to make the donuts" phrase in my head. He built a cultural icon out of a donut maker. He will be missed.
 
One of my long-term camera store customers, Joseph DaRosa, owns 13 Dunkin' Donuts locations in Brunswick, Bath, and Freeport, Maine. Joe had said that the actor/spokesman was a frequent guest at owner/operator conferences; described as "Just a super-nice man one expects to see when entering any Dunkin' location."
