These people have had many "false positives" over the years. I think they start issuing press releases whenever they are running low on money.
 
People have gone missing trying to cross the oceans for thousands of years...
She bet her life and she lost (shrug) So did the guys who came before Lindbergh and I do not see millions of dollars being spent looking for their wreckage...
This whole expedition thing smells funny to me - like some guys are getting their Pacific Islands adventures paid for by the gullible. ..
 
But why, some say, the moon? Why choose this as our goal? And they may well ask why climb the highest mountain. Why, 35 years ago, fly the Atlantic? Why does Rice play Texas? We choose to go to the moon. We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard...
