Those cockpit doors are pilot-proof, too - or are they?

A pilot for Jazz (an Air Canada regional) went to the bathroom during a flight. The door closed behind him and locked him out of the cockpit. He and the crew had to take the hinges off to let him back in.

Of course, the first officer was flying the plane and couldn't get up to open the door.

Probably more like..."Ahh yes, .5 PIC multi jet."

Now the world knows that the door can be removed how good are they? Unless the door only opens form the inside. Love the news.

I'm pretty sure the passengers would have restrained / killed / thrown their silly ass right of the airplane before they would have 30 minutes to try to open the door.

The rules have changed. Planes aren't hijacked with the outcome being landing at some airport. They are hijacked now to crash. Passengers aren't going to let that happen anymore.

I'd give a terrorist less then a minute before they get their ass kicked now.
