I was just unpacking boxes of books today and found this book that I have not seen for a long time. It is called "Wings Over Alaska; The Story of Carl Ben Eielson" , by Edward A. Herron. It was first published in 1959 by Julian Messner Publishers. It is a nice reading story about early aviation growth in Alaska during the 1920's. When I found this book I remembered that my dad gave it to me on my 15th birthday. I had read many other great aviation books before but this one was the one that encouraged me to go to the little airport not too far from home ask for work to pay for flying lessons. I became an "Airport Kid" working for flying lessons. It is a nice book for early teenagers and all those that just like to read about flying. Got to go back to unpacking more books

I offer a big "salute" on this one as well; great reading.
