.......to choose the tail number?
Photo #1 was taken at Wiscasset, Maine IWI. However, the plane has, previously, been based at Auburn-Lewiston, Maine LEW. A significance in the tail # is the JE(photo #2), the initials of the owner, John Enemark. MyAirplane.com indicates that John is now attached to Texas. However, for quite a few years he was an FAA Examiner with the FSDO in Portland, Maine. He lived just a few miles from me.
He flew right seat with me(unofficial capacity) on an occasion and one of the landings wasn't pretty. A few days later he just happened to be at Wiscasset during my first solo, with its three squeaker landings.
I don't know which FSDO he's at in Texas, but if anyone runs into him tell him "Hello" from Maine.
