The Blues and an NAS Open House

Thought those of you in the SE USA and especially FL and GA would want to know:


Sat & Sun, Nov 5th & 6th - Jacksonville Air Show - NAS Jax
-- flight demos, exhibits, Kid Zone and all free
-- Blues fly at 1430 both days; Gates open at 0900; show begins 1000


This annual event alternates its location between Jacksonville Beach and the largest Naval Air Station in the Southeast. Always a great event.

Drive in: Use the Gate entrance of U.S. Hwy 17, just south of downtown Jacksonville. NAS Jax is right on the St. John's River


Fly in: CRG or HEG but a rental will be needed; JAX and you can take the Shuttle

I've heard that's one of the best shows of the season (as well as their last, isn't it?) Should be fun.

Just a 'bump' to serve as a reminder: As I post this, the Blues are flying overhead, doing their typical practice runs before doing their Flight Demo at NAS Jacksonville this Saturday & Sunday. Gates open a 9, a long program of aerial displays begin at 10, the Blues fly at 3 p.m. on Sat, 2:30 p.m. on Sun. Lots of static displays, big kid's play area, all free. NAS Jax is off U.S. 17, just south of downtown Jax and adjacent to the St. John's River.
