Swapping from GEM602 to GEM603, need A&P?

Hey guys,
So I have a gem602 engine monitor and have picked up a 603 (the 603 is identical just with a numerical readout for EGT and CHT).
Plug and play, no wiring.

Is that something that I can legally swap or does and A&P have to do it?

As long as it's not a transponder, DME, or autopilot and is designed to be tray-swapped like that, you do it and then do an operational check and make the appropriate logbook entry.
