Super Sonic flight

Unicorns and puppy dogs. If Boeing can't ship an 787 on time, the low cost super sonic might end up a little late. Otherwise, can't wait. Be cool to have more options in the commercial market.
 
The photos the folks who were invited to the party posted look nifty.

We'll see if they can beat the KAPA aircraft manufacturing curse. There's still this road just off of the airport grounds...

Judging by that mock up, about the only place it will be able to take off and land would be the Bonneville salt flats.

Why? It's going to need a lot of runway for sure, but did you see something else about it that would indicate it would need that much length?
 
I'm going to file this in the YHGTBSM folder.

Of course with enough thrust, even a pig can fly.

Figuratively speaking. But, Vref is going to be very high. FOD will be a real problem.

I think that's long been the case with stuff like that. We shall see how they do. In the end it's all about the price.
