We'll try to make at as early as possible.

If I aim to get there by 10 I'll get there by noon. ;)

It ALWAYS takes longer than I think to get airborne.

Hope we have the same kind of CAVU weekend weather we've been having.

If the wind is from the North, yes. I need to be witih an hours' "hurry home" range of PIA. :)

The weather outlook is not looking good for Sunday. It looks like the cold front will passing over the route Sunday morning. It'll probably improve behind it.

I'll launch in rain if the ceilings and vis are decent, but I'm not going to play around with thunderstorms with no inflight weather display.
 
We still haven't made the firm no-go decision, but it's not looooking good.

I talked to Bruce and we decided that breakfast next Sunday will be the rain date. We can use the village courtesy car and drive in to town to the Unique Cafe. Besides, the town is pretty cool. There's also the museum of the Grand Army of the Republic which has never been open when we were in town.

The final decision will be in the morning.

I might be able to make it next Sunday, I just don't know yet. I'll probably know by Thursday or so.

Bad wx OK today, as I'll go get some actual with my CFII instead. :yes:

The NEXRAD image has pretty much looked like this all day. I guess that cold front isn't moving.

I'm d*m glad I stayed on the ground.
