So I don't know if I'm imagining things as I approach my dotage, but I saw a plane the other day that looked like an Ercoupe on steroids.
It had the same overall shape, twin rudders, tricycle gear, same canopy shape, except was much bigger, it had (at least) four seats. I could see four seatbacks as it turned away from me. It was taxiing away from me as I was taxiing in so I didn't get a great look, and no picture.
Anyone have any ideas what it might be, or was I hallucinating?

Obviously hallucinating. You need to either discontinue your use of recreational chemicals or up the dose.

Only 4 seat Ercoupe ever was built by the Thrasher brothers - didn't catch on though.

The Cruisemaster was the daddy of the Bellanca Viking. Wooden wing, tube and rag fuselage. Still a beautiful airplane.

Check out the link, they did loops in the thing and apparently they were the original "World's shortest runway" performers as well.
