STL GPS 8/10-21 might want to read this

WTF is up with that? Disrupting GPS signals near a major metropolitan area & Class B, no less?

I guess Boeing can't afford to pack up their gear and perform the tests in a remote area??? :mad2:

Not really, they probably have to test it there because the are making it so a missile can't pinpoint them at Lambert. As far as Class Bs go, it's probably the slowest in the country. It operated in much much busier days just fine and that was before GPS existed.

Sort of makes sense, but still...

Wonder what will happen to all the landlubbers who use GPS to get around town?

Nahhh, now Kansas City OTOH....

According to the airnav stats, STL has about 10 more operations a day than MCI. 10 operations over 24 hours doesn't amount to a significant difference in traffic.

Yeah, he was using humor, they're both dead and could easily be relegated to Class C. However there's no real reason to, STL controllers have no attitude problems with GA. Ask and you will receive a clearance to do whatever, no worries.
