Take of from gravel bar into the canyon, there was a breeze coming from the canyon and gravel bar was way too soft, so went to the edge of the bar where the rocks are bigger to have a more solid roll out, then was followed down the river by Dave in his Stinson.

Wow incredible would love to do some flying like that some day

Cool!

Unlike a lot of videos, I actually like the music that accompanies this one. Fits the video, IMO.

Wonder how much prop damage results from operating from gravel bars?

This seems like careless and reckless operation. I can't believe you would post your antics on social media. :stirpot:

Not much... don't sit still and do a long run-up...

Tossing crap into the tail is way more common. You can still avoid some of that but it happens. Lots of folks add those rubber boots to the leading edge of the horizontal stabilizer.

See to me this is flying. I see planes more as a way to be like a bird, not a get there destination tool.

I'd much rather be low and slow

Awesome video, it gives the sensation of a person actually flying without the airplane...or maybe I had a little too much to drink tonight...lol
