As a newbie, a few weeks ago I asked about recommended books for aviation topics to read. 'Stick and Rudder' was recommended by a POA member, so I went to the the bookstore and bought it. I am still, a week after finishing the book, amazed at how much what we do in an airplane has remained intact since Langewiesche wrote the book 65 years ago. His insight and ability to instruct the intersection of the art and science of flight is remarkable. I told my CFII that I am so glad that I read this after I got the PPL and would recommend that every newly minted PP read this book. I will go back to it more than once, of that I am sure.

Thanks for the offer, Brooke! Still, I am glad I own it and will re-read it often...specially on those snowbound days about to overrun us in NY State real soon!

Thanks for posting. It reminded me that I had an unread copy I bought about a year ago and had not gotten around to reading. Reading it now.
