Spironolactone

Older women know the story: perimenopause causes terrible hormonal acne flares. My dermatologist recommended spironolactone, but I'm concerned since it seems to be a heart medication. Will there be any issues with the FAA? I'd love clear skin, but not if I'm forced into some sort of cardiology exam that might find who knows what.

Spiro isn't a big deal. Make sure you have documentation from your prescribing doctor about the reasons and that you're not experiencing any side effects (hypotension, dehydration, or the like).
