The original "I don't know it all" of aviation.
As I slowly claw my way toward 1500 hours (nearly 1050 currently), I am getting into the territory where I'm looking at commercial pilot employment opportunities around the aviation world.
Some that I will soon qualify for ask that the applicant hold a first class medical. And with the current ATP level of hours likely to be obtained before Summer 2022, I plan on applying for the first class this next renewal (January 2022) so that I hold a 1st at the time I am eligible for employment require ATP qualifications.
Currently I am on an SI that requests an annual update from my physician. For third and second class, no problem. Visit the doc, undergo the required lab tests, get the lab results and doctor letter, hand to the AME, get issued.
But as I'm over 40, I'll be visiting the AME every 6 months to renew my 1st class.
My question is.... Do I need to bring in the SI update info each 6 month visit? Or every other visit (12 month rotation)?
