South FL AME for Special Authorization

Could anyone recommend a competent aviation medical examiner in the south Florida (Hollywood, Miami, Fort Lauderdale) area who could go to bat for a friend? This pilot is seeking a special authorization under FAR 67.401(a) for a Third Class Medical with Type II diabetes. The special authorization requires coordination between the treating physician and the AME, and requires the AME to make timely submissions to Oklahoma City.

Any names/phone numbers of some good AME's, perhaps who have dealt with these issues before, would be helpful.
