Someone just gave me $2k to finish my instrument rating

Just got a check in the mail for almost $2,000 and the check was dated on my birthday!

Ok, it was my money as it was a refund from my mortgage escrow account but I didn't know I had it coming and it was a total surprise birthday present.

Unfortunately, right now I don't have an Alfa to spend money on and my dog does just fine on the premium food I feed her. I'm thinking about $1200 of this to finish my IR and $500 for a Dual ADS-B / GPS for my iPad already running FlyQ IFR.
