Hadn't seen this discussed here yet, so I figured I'd post it.
Capt Cal Flanigan recently retired after 8 years on top as DAL seniority#1.
Guy had an amazing career starting out as a mechanic for Delta in 1968 and became a pilot in 1976. A friend who is now a DAL Captain himself got to fly with him as FO a few times on the 777 and said he learned alot about being a Captain from Cal.
45 years of service and never took a sick day. Amazing dude.
