After gliding, flying a helicopter feels like I’m beating the air into submission. Even an aircraft seems like it is using a lot of energy to fight the elements. Flying a glider... in the U.K... while watching a Spitfire below you, making passes down the grass runway at the Aerodrome... life is good. Very very good.
