I'm looking for a small portable vacuum, preferably battery powered, and with strong suction. Something that I could use to quickly clean out car, airplane, etc without hauling out the big shop vac. If I'm not going to get good suction on battery, then I'd consider corded.

I've looked at the 18v ones from Makita (https://www.makitatools.com/products/details/XLC02ZB) and Milwaukee (https://www.milwaukeetool.com/power-tools/cordless/0882-20) because they fit into their battery "systems" with other tools, but I'm wondering if there are better options. I like the fact that the Makita one has a floor attachment, so I could use it to quickly grab dust and dirt on solid floors as well, but not sure how well the suction would be for pulling dirt out of car/plane carpet or upholstery. There may be similar/better products which I don't know about.

Any suggestions or recommendations are appreciated!

Dyson have great suction and they have one for car, think it's corded

Marking this thread so maybe I can get the last of the peckerations out of the Subaru with whatever the group comes up with. ;)

So, you want POA to recommend something that really sucks your peckerations?

I would second the Dyson handheld. While I've moved away from them for home use, the hand held vacuums work well, especially if you don't have something with a lot of fine dust/powder to vacuum up (like drywall dust.)
