I watched Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow for the first time yesterday.

I was not aware that p40s could fly under water. Learn something new everyday.

Not a great movie, but a good use of a spare evening.

That movie is very definitely not a documentary.

There HAVE been flying aircraft carriers, but not anything like they depict. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Macon_(ZRS-5)

Fun movie; not intended to be taken as anything but a pulp adventure with a touch of film noir. I liked the style. Origin of the film was a bit unusual, too.

Real tour du force in its day, and loads of fun. Saw it in theaters and was glad I did.
