Yesterday I signed up for instrument ground school at a local airport. Starts in January and goes 15 weeks. Here in Ohio doing winter ground school is a good way to keep playing with aviation stuff when good weather days are few and far between.

Irony of ironies - the airport where the ground school is at has no instrument approaches. No worries, the airport my bird is based out of has plenty of approaches.

I started on the Instrument rating last weekend (1.3 simulated). Keep us up to date on your progress.

You're going to need lots of cross country time. Flying to an AP with Instrument Approaches is a good way to build that time if you don't already have it.

I'm guessing his recent trip probably bumped his x/c time up quite a bit
