I didnt use the aopa turbo medical but think it would have been a good idea. The si is only good until the end of september which doesnt make sense to me. Why not at least until February when I started all this ?

You are right the SI does not make sense. It is good only for one year from the time you started it not from the time they approved it. I see that it is only good for about 9 months of flying. What would we ever do without the FAA Medical Section.
