At the Washington Nationals game on Monday night there was a last minute pitcher substitution, which led to boos from the crowd. The substitute pitcher came in to replace pitching phenom Steven Strasburg. Substitute pitcher opened his mouth and spake:

"Imagine," Batista said, "if you go there to see Miss Universe and you end up having Miss Iowa -- you might get those kind of boos."

Oops.

To make up, the Nationals have invited Miss Iowa to throw out the first pitch at tonight's game. And Batista will catch that pitch.
