Geek on the Hill
The temperature soared to a scorching 32 F today, so I took the opportunity to cleanse my Soul.
I also compared the color of some new wheels I bought for the summer tires to the car's paint:
The match was serendipitous. I didn't paint the wheels nor order them color-matched. In fact, they only cost me $44.25 each from my favorite online tire and wheel supplier (including lug nuts and shipping) once the multiple rebates were factored in.
I saved some coin on the TPMS sensors, as well. Some guy on eBay sold me used OEM ones for $15.00 / each, and they all tested perfectly. So the wheels plus the TPMS sensors worked out to $59.25 / each. Not a bad deal at all.
So now I can leave the snows on the steelies rather than switching the rubber twice a year. I haven't decided whether to buy the ATEQ to reset the TPMS myself or just let the mechanic do it. I'm leaning toward the latter so he can check the alignment at the same time.
