I would hypothesize that they needed more stringent minima between the FQM IAF and the FAF than they normally have. If I'm reading it right, it only applies if you're using Williamsport as your IAF, which is further out than normal for an IAF. (It's 15NM out from the top of the "T".)For you instrument pilots, I'm curious why the GPS plate for Loch Haven has the special note on it about the IAF ("Arm Approach Mode Prior to the IAF"). I've not seen that on any other GPS approach. Why this one?
