Second DIA runway incursion in a month

A snowplow remained on an active runway at Denver International Airport on Friday, prompting the National Transportation Safety Board to open its second runway incursion investigation at DIA in a month.
The plane got within 200 feet of the snowplow before it came to a complete stop

The reporter seems to think that using brake and reverse thrusters is unusual.

What happened? Was the plane cleared to land while a snowplow was on the runway? Did the plane land on the wrong runway? Did the tower controller think the runway was empty? Was the snowplow supposed to be on an active runway?

The snow plow was following another truck and "got lost". Not sure how that happens with 10 miles vis. But the plow wasnt where it was supposed to be.

I saw a couple of plows get "lost" last week. For whatever reason, they fell behind. Didn't cross the taxiway they were supposed to with the rest of the group. One cut in front of us, so we stopped rather quickly... Then sat there looking at #2 who was sitting just outside the taxi boundry. Asked ground, he said better hold on - and called the ops leader who apparently didn't realize he'd "lost" a couple. Confirmed that he'd wait, and we continued. It does happen. Luckily for us we were just taxiing.
