I just want to verify that I am interpreting the regulations correctly. If I typically fly a twin engine airplane, the landings don't count for me to carry passengers in a single engine airplane.

Thanks,

Bryan

61.57:

...no person may act as a pilot in command of an aircraft carrying passengers or of an aircraft certificated for more than one pilot flight crewmember unless that person has made at least three takeoffs and three landings within the preceding 90 days, and [...] (ii) The required takeoffs and landings were performed in an aircraft of the same category, class, and type (if a type rating is required)

So as you suspected you'd need the same category (airplane) and class (SEL, MEL, SES, MES).

I haven't been current in singles since, well, it's been a while.

Just shut one engine off on final the next three times. Problem solved.

I could shut both off and get my glider rating.:)

Thanks for the confirmation.
