Pre-Flight
Ever since I saw the helicopter flying through the canyon on Jurassic Park, I've thought about how awesome it must have been on that ride. I never thought that a few years later, I'd earn a helicopter PPL and fly that canyon myself. The fact that there's a helo service here on Kauai gave me the opportunity to secure an R44 and do some serious flying over what has to be some of the most spectacular landscape on our planet.
My tour guide is also a CFI and he left the piloting to me for most of the flight. It was certainly the most incredible flying I've ever done.
