Came across this today, nearly in time for Veterans Day. I'm not verifying it as legitimate.

Currently there is only one remaining flyable Lockheed C-141B Starlifter, we want to save this aircraft and make it a tribute to those who served on it. There are many 23-years olds who saw the world on this aircraft, and even more, many of whom were injured service men and women, that rode home on this aircraft. More importantly, all prisoner of war from Vietnam flew to freedom on the "Hanoi Taxi."

The Lockheed C-141 served our country proudly from 1963 to 2006 when the last C-141, the Hanoi Taxi, was retired. They moved our troops and cargo anywhere around the world and did so proudly. Please help save the last flyable C-141.

We "The Lockheed C-141 Starlifter Association" are asking for everyone to sign this petition to help save this aircraft before its cut up!

Please take a moment to sign this petition! Thank you.

Is the goal to bring it back to/keep it on flyable status? If so, that is cool and I will sign. Next door neighbor growing up was a crew chief (or whatever that would have been called) on -141's out of McChord as a young guy.....had lots of good stories about his career.
