Some pics from a round robin trip with Dave from Paine Field to Darrington along the Sauk River to Concrete then along east shore of Puget Sound back to Paine. 1.6 on the tach.

Oh yeah, we had fun.

1--Mount Baker at our 12 o'clock.
2--fun at Darrington
3--rolling

We flew IFR along the Sauk out of Darrington heading for Concrete. It was a spectacular day.

Dave said he's flown this stretch many times. In fact, the only reason he was there was to show me. Some folks have all the fun.

The color is correct but the pics are a bit darker than actual. I figure the aqua blue of the water is because of granite powder in the glacier runoff. Dave was excited to see all the places he can take his bird. He's catching the excitement! We both let out a couple whoops.

1--crappy glare but this pic shows some great scenery behind the glare.
2--A view of Mount Baker from just west of Concrete.
3--Final approach to Concrete.
4--Nice sign with a play on words on the side of the EAA meetin' hall at Concrete. This picture is a nice composition.

Great Photos Richard. Just curious what was your max bank angle. Some of those photos make the plane look like it was banking at some serious angles. Was it just the combination of your actual angle with the camera being held at an angel as well?

It's not the bank angle when Richard's flying in turbulence,
it's HOW he banks the angle...
