I was listening to a quite fascinating interview with Dr. Courtney Brown, pilot, Ph.D., Emory University when he made the following statement.

"Magnetic pole is moving...back in the 1970s the magnetic pole was in Canada...now it is actually true North {pole}...the compass shifts, the Earth doesn't move...this shift is happening faster and faster...the runways are identified by the direction they land in, they are actually having to rename the runways now because the magnetic North is shifting so much, three to four miles per year, "200" is no longer pointing at "200".....the airplanes navigation doesn't work out right using their magnetic compasses because the magnetic North is no longer in the same spot...
