Hey,

I am looking for a decent place to rent a 172 or 152 in the Miami area. It seems that Tamiami is the most convenient Airport for me in the area. I'd like to take it out for a few days and explore the keys and the shorelines. Any suggestions where to rent? I always stumble upon high minimum flying hours (up to 6h), and I don't want to sit in the plane all day...:nonod:

Because I will be around in March, I am a bit concerned about availability of the planes. Does anybody know whether there are lots of pilots around in that time? The weather should be nice I suppose...:yesnod:

I don't think that you stumble on them.
They are the Rule, not the exception. (Well, maybe 6 is high -- usually 3-4 being normal). And that is assuming that they have the inventory to allow "long term" vs hourly rentals.
 
Henning can probably weigh in on this, he seems to know all the good spots.
