Wife hates too many cables and asked me last week about sound bars. Of course for me it would have to be 5.1 but the only one I see a lot of online are the Vizio models that have wireless bass/rear speaker type deals.

Dont want to break the bank here but looking for feedback on them.

Got one for my parents for Christmas last year and it seems to work just fine! Been considering one for my home as well.

We got a Vizio system at WalMart for about $250 and we're very, very pleased with it.

It may not rank with "audiophile" systems costing 10x as much, but for our aging ears it's quite impressive, and more than enough.

Bear in mind that while the subwoofer is Bluetooth wireless, the small rear surround speakers do wire to that.

We picked up a Yamaha at Costco for about $80 that has great sound AND connects to WiFi. Liked it so much we picked up a second one and installed it above the kitchen sink window so we can listen to music or watch streaming shows while cooking.
