"Quick Reply" box gone?

The "quick reply" box at the bottom of a thread's page has disappeared in the last 12 hours. This on my iPad 4 only. It's still there on my WIN7 machine using Chrome.

I did a hard reboot of the iPad but that changed nothing.

Not a big deal...just an FYI...

I use Google Chrome to access the net on both my desktop and iPads.

I've seen the issue that Tim refers to happen after I clicked the bookmark to bring me here. But the related item is that I'm not yet logged in to the site. So I'm in "read only" mode for the moment.

My situation appears that the cookie that keeps me logged in or auto logs me in expired, requiring a quick visit to the top right of the screen to log in again.

Easily done. Log in again, click the "Remember Me" check box, and motor on.

Edit: just logged out and back in.

Still gone.

Probably just one of those weird glitches.

The "quick reply" box is there when I'm over on red.
