For once we can PREDICT how an Aviation story will be reported wrong!
Wing walking tour offers 'unique' jumbo view

People holidaying in the western Queensland town of Longreach will be given the rare opportunity of walking on the wing of a Boeing 747 jumbo jet.

Qantas Founders Museum spokesman Jeff Swinson says the "Walking the Wing Tour" will be launched today.

"I certainly haven't heard of anyone doing a tour of this kind, so it would be unique," he said.

"[It is] certainly a different view from the top of the wing, you get a different perspective of the aircraft, I guess you get to see the sheer size of it.

"People doing the tour have to use a harness, basically you're tethered onto a cable to the wing."

Note how the story doesn't make clear this "Wing Walking" will be while the retired 747 in a museum is on the GROUND?

We KNOW that this will be on the evening news in 3,2,1....
....especially since a poster on Fark already said it will be airborne during the wing walking (we can assume with tongue firmly in cheek.) What other source do you need?

Lessee if the morning news shows pick this up and report it wrong. They going to get a TON of phone calls from news producers begging for someone to interview...

"Oh. Thanks anyway..." ...sulking off disappointed. :)
