You probably saw my forum on "how easy is it to own/build 2 planes?" where I ended up making my final decision on choosing the Zenith Ch-750 as my first kit plane in the near future. I looked back on the Glasair Sportsman 2+2 and looking at the specs, it does basically everything I want out of an airplane.

So I'm just courious on what are the pros and cons on the Glasair Sportsman 2+2?

You might also want to check the prices of the 750 and the Sportman. ;)

My wife and I were were interested in building a Sportsman, did quite some research and heard nothing but good things about them. The price was however a showstopper for us.

If you are thinking about building a 750, you might also want to look at the Rans S-20 and the S-21 (similar to the S-20 but all metal). Build times seem to be similar to the 750, we however heard better things about the quality of Rans instructions and the builder community than Zenith's.

If we'd build a high wing two seater, it would either be the 750 or a S-20/21. The wife however says that the 750 is too ugly. So, well... ;)

Thanks for the suggestions and advice! Our friend Tom already built himself a Murphy Rebel (go to Striker01 on youtube and my channel has videos of his plane) and he said he is thinking about building a Rans S-21 since you can build it in about 300 hours. He said I should consider building a Rans S-21 instead of the Zenith CH-750.
And yes the price of the Glasair Sportsman 2+2 is the main obstacle of me wanting to build one in the future. Also Tom says the new Rans S-21 will actually be pretty fast for a bush plane. I love the Zenith CH-750 design but it looks very slow.
If he ends up building a Rans S-21, and the building proccess was sort of easy (all kit planes take a lot of dedication to build one and he took 3 years to finish his Murphy Rebel) than I might end up building a Rans S-21 instead OR build both a Rans S-21 and a CH-750.
