A properly liscenced PPL may operate an LSA within the applicable regs. However, a sport pilot must obtain a CFI sign off for operation into class B,C, D airspace. a PPL has presumably received this training for his Private liscence. Is it required for a PPL to get the sign off in an LSA aircraft before conducting operations in these airspaces ?

No, a private pilot does not require these endorsements, even when operating an LSA under light sport privileges (meaning no medical).

Nope, PPL or higher is all good in any LSA applicable airspace with no further sign off.

No as a pp you have already received all that training. If flying without medical must follow lsa standards for the lsa aircraft.
