Port a Port Hangar modification

Hello,

I purchased a Port a Port Executive I hangar back in January and have been slowly improving it. It has an asphalt floor so I plan on putting down Race Deck tiles or something similar in the future. Port a Ports have beams that run under the wing to door track that are toe busters and I would like to remove them. I have searched every pilot forum I am part of and can’t find anything on this topic. I have seen pictures of Port a Ports with them removed but can’t find anything about any negative effects of doing so.

Has anyone done this to their Port a Port and were there any ill effects?

Seen it done a lot. Anchor the tracks the bi folds follow and cut them out. No worries!

keep em and weld back in if ya wanna make it “portable” again.
