A Beech Dutchess, twin engine plane, similar to the one pictured has crashed at Godfrey Road, near Richard B. Russell Regional Airport. Floyd County Police have confirmed that there were two deaths in the accident.
The plane was from a flight school in Atlanta that was in the Rome area to practice `engine out` maneuvers. Apparently, they were unable to recover in time to avoid the crash.
