I think I was interested in flying in that bird when I was out there but could never get ahold of anyone.

I don't believe crashing in the forest is a recommended stall recovery

The airplane I suspected it was, and that I wanted to fly, is now gone from the schools website. Interesting.

Gitmo, if you are still interested in flying one, they have a couple to rent up in Denver at Aspen Flying Club.

CarlH,

unfortunately, I'm no longer in colorado. I was at Peterson AFB for a few weeks last month. I just found it odd... I called the flight school this airplane was at and could never get ahold of anyone. I was on duty prior to the start of their business hours and off duty after they closed.

Then I saw it here and immediately had a hunch then checked to see it gone off the website.

That being said, Aspen flying club looks awesome! I'm on the east coast now and will have to find a few of those models to play around in

There was one at Gettysburg with a guy named Tim Boyer. I am not sure if it is still there, or if he still rents it out. You may want to check with the FBO there. If you end up TDY back out this way, let me know. I own one and have it parked at KFLY as well.
