Plane Down Central TX Lexington

The pilot at skydiving place in Lexington is dead from a crash last evening. Knew him personally, was very close with some of my best friends. This one hurts.

Word from the ground was plane was on final, he aborted the landing for unknown reasons, began crosswind turn, and went nose in. C182, No further details I can make public now.

Sorry to hear about your friend. Weather was pretty mild around here yesterday, it was a great day for flying. Surprisingly, though, not many airplanes flying yesterday. Weird.
