BATON ROUGE, La. -- A single-engine Cessna crashed into some trees in the backyard of a north Baton Rouge Wednesday.
Howard Ward, a spokesman for the Baton Rouge Fire Department, says there was no fire, no one was injured, and a neighbor pulled the pilot, who was traveling alone, to safety.
The pilot, an aerial photographer, was identified as Robin Tendolkar. Airport officials say initial reports indicate he had low fuel on approach to Baton Rouge Metro Airport, where he was trying to land.
In a twist to the story, police say they've arrested the woman who lives in the home where the plane crashed.
Police say they found five marijuana plants growing in the woman's yard -- about 15 feet from where the plane went down. Authorities say 53-year-old Betty McManus was arrested on charges of cultivation of marijuana.
