The pilot that pressed the White House last week was interviewed by Matt Lauer yesterday morning. I couldn't find a thread that discussed this guy since he appeared. I assume that was an AOPA attorney sitting next to him.

I can't figure what he was trying to accomplish. He says he never took the controls throughout the flight and that he got his briefing over the internet. He claims that he realized they were off course when they approached Baltimore. He claims to regret not turning back at that point. He also claimed that the radio was not recieving on the freq that the blackhawk was giving them.

What say you? Was his public testimony a help or hinerance to GA?
