LAX QB's Art Wasserman and Rob Forker were involved in an aircraft accident at Whiteman Airport in Pacoima and are recovering at Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills. We pray for a speedy recovery.

Wow, not a good place to have to land! They are pretty lucky.

Not necessarily. You can spill fuel all over the place, but if it never happens to come into contact with something above its flash point, then....no explosion/fire. As far as no fluid on the ground...I wouldn't base that off the photos alone.

Edit: looking at the photos again, it looks like there is a fire extinguisher on the ground and a whole lot of saw dust or something directly under the plane. My guess is that underneath all of that sawdust is a whole lot of fuel and oil.

True, but also notice the absence of oil on that pile of sawdust......I suspect that the FD or first responders covered it up.
